VAN Portal Cookie Settings

The enhancement we recently made to the load page of the Web Management tool is that our page also includes the Customer Portal / Self-Help information loaded from the EasyLink website. Therefore, EasyLink.NET service's material requiring security protection has been greatly expanded on, and extended to the www.icc.net website.  The Single Sign-on login mechanism employed to log someone in across multiple servers requires Cookie support.  If Cookies are not enabled, the log-in is essentially "forgotten" by your web browser the moment after it is performed and the current secured webpage is returned.

In order to prevent multiple logins, you must set up the proper configuration within your web browser to allow Cookies from www.icc.net. The instructions for setting up the configurations within either Internet Explorer or FireFox are the following:

For Internet Explorer users:

  1. If your browser did not save the Cookies it was requested to, you should see a small 'eye' icon having a red ‘do not enter' symbol overlaying the eye in the bottom status bar.
  2. Double-click that 'do not enter / eye' symbol.
  3. A Privacy Report dialog box will pop-up.
  4. Select (click on) any line under the 'Site' list for the URL starting with
    http://www.icc.net/en_US/os/icc.net/Customers/CustomerPortal/ICC.NET/ ...etc...
  5. click the "Summary" button.  Alternatively, the line starting with that URL can be double clicked.
  6. A more detailed "Privacy Policy" window will pop-up.
  7. Click the "Always allow this site to use cookies" selection, and click the 'OK' button.
  8. One additional login will most likely be required after this when you click a link for one of the pages under the EasyLink.NET Customer Portal.

For Firefox users:

  1. Click through the menu "Tools" -> "Options"
  2. The "Options" dialog box will display.
  3. Click the "Privacy" tool-bar icon at the top.
  4. Cookies can either be turned on a) globally or b) selectively:
    1. To globally turn cookies on:
      1. Click the "Accept Cookies from sites".  The "Keep until" option can be anything you prefer.  We recommend the selection "they expire".
      2. Click "Ok".  You may need to log in one more time.
    2. To selectively turn cookies on for just www.icc.net :
      1. Leave "Accept cookies from sites" unchecked.
      2. Click the "Exceptions" button.
      3. Type in www.icc.net for the "Address of website" entry field and click the "Allow" button (not the "Allow for Session" button). If you operate with only selective cookies turned on, you should also see client*.icctrade.com in the list (where "*" is replaced by 11, 12 or 13) as an allowed website.  If they are not there, you will need to add those as well.
      4. Click the "Close" button.  You may need to log in one more time.
